We’re an invite-only community of women leaders who believe that developing authentic, supportive relationships with each other will take us to new places in our lives and careers.
The Guild is an antidote to the kind of networking that’s all about your title and status and not about who you are and what you have to offer the world.
Membership in The Guild kicks off with our hallmark experience –– ”a weekend away.” We travel to a beautiful destination that is just far enough away to feel like a real getaway. We immerse ourselves in nature and move our bodies and go deep in conversation and eat nourishing meals and laugh until our faces hurt. Overall, on our weekends, we strive to find the happy place between adult summer camp and a “woo woo” wellness retreat.
After the kickoff weekend, members have the opportunity to participate in Guild events throughout the year with a mix of women from your initial weekend and also other Guild members. These optional experiences include more weekends away in different beautiful locations, virtual and in-person experiences like breathwork or surfing lessons, bimonthly dinners together in San Francisco and New York, and monthly virtual circles. We think of all of our events as time for you, away from your responsibilities, with space to relax and explore new possibilities, surrounded by people who support you.
Mid-career women leaders are experiencing a unique phase of life. We have made a name for ourselves professionally and built a robust life. We’re making a LOT of things happen right now. Our to-do lists are long, and our myriad commitments pull at our time and attention.
Real shit is going down across all aspects of life, and to top it off, we’re emerging from an unprecedented period of isolation due to the global pandemic. It’s too easy in this phase and in this moment to feel overwhelmed, lost, or isolated.
There’s also a richness to this moment –– where we have the wisdom of experience, but we are far from done. We know and trust ourselves more than ever before, and we’re approaching the next phase with purpose and a sense of possibility.
There’s no question this is an intense period for us all. We need channels for connection, play, and inspiration to help us through challenges and to guide us in the next phase of life. And we need good friends who can dream big on our behalf, and who can help us make it all come true.
We are building The Guild community slowly and intentionally, and we define our membership as “friends you haven’t met yet.”
Guild members are mid-career women with 15+ years of professional experience. Our members hold leadership roles in our work and communities, and are typically between the ages of 35-55.
We actively prioritize building a membership with diverse backgrounds, family situations, and professional experience.
Women who are a good fit for the Guild embody the following characteristics:
Guild members live throughout the US, with about two-thirds in the Bay Area right now. Our in-person events revolve around the Bay Area and NYC.
The Guild is not in this to make money. We are in it to build a powerful community of women who move the world through their work and their relationships.
For 2025, the membership fee is $1,250, which we collect once you decide to become a member after your first Guild event. This fee includes participation in our Slack community, virtual experiences and in-person dinners in SF & NY as well as invitations to participate in weekends away and other in-person gatherings. For any events we throw that have an additional cost, that cost covers most, but not all, of our expenses to host the event.
Our goal is for the Guild to become a self-sustaining enterprise over time but we intend to keep costs as low as we can for members (not to make massive profits). Currently, about half of the costs of operating the Guild are covered by Molly and about half by member fees and members paying to participate in events.
